In a unexpected crossover event that challenges traditional predictions, Ubisoft has revealed an digital crossover between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event operates from November 25 through December 22, including free bonus story content for Shadows players.

Strange Mission Uncovered

According to the official statement, "A mysterious encounter pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh adventure, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and monstrous transformations resonate through the darkness." The plot introduces a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Crystalline Cavern—a important location from Attack on Titan—to save her ally from a hidden cult.

The questline focuses on "peculiar tests and a terrifying enemy" and is available to all players who have unlocked the Yasuke character.

Iconic Places and Transformations

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This important location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The trailer finishes with a striking moment showing a character, probably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that looms over Naoe and Yasuke.

Exclusive Items and Additional Features

Players who successfully complete the quest will receive an unique katana together with multiple items hidden throughout the area in concealed chests. The update also includes premium Attack on Titan item packs, including:

• Mikasa attire for Naoe

This release also adds the game's latest no-cost story content, titled "The Enigma." This lighthearted adventure partners Naoe and Yasuke as they exchange distinctive techniques: Naoe introduces a dramatic version of Yasuke's war kick, while Yasuke acquires subduing stealth takedowns. Loyal to its name, "The Enigma" also features a new environmental puzzle that may eventually shed light on some unresolved questions from the main storyline.
